Ethiope West Towns And Villages

Ethiope West is a Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria, with its headquarters at Oghara Town. It covers about 536 square kilometres of Urhobo country north of Sapele, along the Ethiope and Jamieson rivers.

The 2006 census counted 203,592 residents. The area lies near 5.6°N, 6.0°E, and its postal codes run in the 331 series (Jesse 331101, Oghara 331102).

Ethiope West holds three Urhobo kingdoms — Oghara, Idjerhe (Jesse) and Mosogar — split across eleven electoral wards. Oghara, Ogharefe and Jesse are its main towns; rubber and oil-palm estates at Pamol and J.A. Thomas anchor the local economy.
