Warri South Towns And Villages
Warri South is a Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria, with its headquarters in Warri, the state’s commercial hub. It covers about 633 square kilometres of mostly low-lying, riverine terrain along the Warri River, edged with mangrove creeks and home to Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The area held a population of 311,970 at the 2006 census. Its people are mainly Itsekiri and Urhobo, split across the Iwere (Warri) Kingdom seated at Ode-Itsekiri and the Urhobo quarters of the city. Dr. Michael Tidi chairs the council, and postal codes across the LGA begin 332.
