Ughelli South Towns And Villages

Ughelli South is a Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria, with its headquarters at Otu-Jeremi. It covers about 786 square kilometres in the state’s central Urhobo belt, south of Ughelli town.

The 2006 census counted 212,638 residents, and the National Population Commission projected about 291,400 for 2022, making it one of Delta’s more populous LGAs. The area is Urhobo country, organised into six kingdoms: Olomu, Ewu, Effurun-Otor, Okparabe, Arhavwarien and Ughievwen. Its southern, riverine wards run down toward the creeks near Okwagbe and Otegbo.
