Nsit Atai Towns And Villages
Nsit Atai is a Local Government Area in south-east Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, about 50 km from Uyo. General Sani Abacha’s government created the LGA in 1996, with its capital at Odot.
The 2006 census counted 73,395 residents. Projections put the 2022 figure near 93,700. Nsit Atai has ten wards, numbered Eastern Nsit I through X, and shares one postal code, 521108, across the whole LGA.
Nsit Atai borders Uruan to the north, Okobo to the east, and Ibesikpo Asutan to the west. The people are Ibibio and speak the Ibibio language. The Ekpo and Ekong masquerades mark the local calendar.
