Ibesikpo Asutan Towns And Villages

Ibesikpo Asutan is a Local Government Area in central Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The council headquarters sits at Nung Udoe, and the area covers about 175 square kilometres.

The 2006 census counted 137,127 residents. Projections put the 2022 figure near 175,000. Ibesikpo Asutan holds ten wards: Ibesikpo I, Ibesikpo II, Ibesikpo III, Ibesikpo IV, Ibesikpo V, Asutan I, Asutan II, Asutan III, Asutan IV and Asutan V.

The Ibesikpo and Asutan clans share the LGA. Former Akwa Ibom governor Obong Victor Attah and the late Air Marshal Nsikak Eduok both come from here. The Lutheran Church of Nigeria’s national headquarters, seminary and high school sit at Obot Idim.
