Ibiono Ibom Towns And Villages

Ibiono Ibom is a Local Government Area in the north of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Its headquarters sit at Oko Ita. The area covers about 336 square kilometres.

The 2006 census counted 188,605 residents. Projections put the 2022 figure near 240,700. Ibiono Ibom holds eleven registration areas, including Ibiono Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern and Central wards plus Ikpanya.

Ibibio-speaking communities farm cassava, yam and oil palm across the LGA. Hon. Asuakak Umoh chairs the council.
