Etinan Towns And Villages

Etinan is a Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, about 26 km south of Uyo. Its headquarters is Etinan town. The area covers roughly 157 square kilometres.

The 2006 census counted 168,924 residents. Projections put the 2022 figure near 215,600. Etinan holds 11 wards, grouped into three districts: Etinan Urban, Northern Iman and Southern Iman.

Most residents are Iman Ibom, a branch of the Ibibio people. Hon. Uko Friday Umoh has chaired the council since May 2023.
