Madobi Towns And Villages
Madobi is a Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria, on the Kano River southwest of Kano city. Its headquarters is the town of Madobi. The area covers about 273 square kilometres.
The 2006 census counted 137,685 residents. A 2022 projection put the figure near 226,400. Madobi holds twelve wards: Burji, Cinkoso, Galinja, Gora, Kafin Agur, Kanwa, Kaura Mata, Kubaraci, Kwankwaso, Madobi, Rikadawa and Yakun.
Kwankwaso ward gave its name to former Kano governor and senator Rabiu Kwankwaso. Madobi borders Kumbotso and Kano Municipal to the east, Bagwai to the north, Bebeji to the south, and Garun Mallam across the Kano River to the west.
