Kiru Towns And Villages

Kiru is a Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria, about 75 kilometres south of Kano city. Its headquarters is Kiru town. The area covers 927 square kilometres and had a population of 267,168 at the 2006 census, projected to roughly 439,400 by 2022.

Kiru holds 15 wards: Ba’awa, Badafi, Bargoni, Bauda, Dangora, Dansoshiya, Dashi, Galadimawa, Kiru, Kogo, Maraku, Tsaudawa, Yako, Yalwa and Zuwo. It borders Kabo, Karaye, Rogo, Madobi, Kura and Bebeji LGAs within Kano State, and reaches Kaduna State’s Ikara and Makarfi LGAs to the south.
