Ajingi Towns And Villages
Ajingi is a Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria, about 50 kilometres east of Kano city. Its headquarters is the town of Ajingi. The area covers roughly 714 square kilometres.
The 2006 census counted 172,610 residents. Projections put the 2022 figure near 283,900. Ajingi holds ten wards: Ajingi, Balare, Chula, Dabin Kanawa, Dundun, Gafasa, Gurduba, Kunkurawa, Toranke and Unguwar Bai.
Farming and pottery making are the leading occupations. Larabar Zango, in Toranke ward, hosts one of rural Kano State’s largest markets, drawing traders from across the area.
