Bunkure Towns And Villages
Bunkure is a Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria. Its headquarters sits at Bunkure town, at roughly 11°42′N 8°33′E. The area covers about 487 square kilometres.
The 2006 census recorded a population of 174,467, with a 2022 projection near 286,900. Bunkure holds ten wards: Barkum, Bono, Bunkure, Chirin, Gafan, Gurjiya, Gwamma, Kulluwa, Kumurya and Sanda.
Hausa and Fulani households farm groundnuts, millet, cowpeas and guinea corn across the ward lands, with weekly markets serving as the main trading points between villages.
