Fagge Towns And Villages

Fagge is a Local Government Area in the metropolitan area of Kano State, Nigeria, carved out of Nasarawa LGA in December 1996. Its headquarters sits at Waje, and the area covers about 35 square kilometres.

The 2006 census counted 200,095 residents. Projections put the 2022 figure near 329,100. Fagge holds ten wards: Fagge A, Fagge B, Fagge C, Fagge D, Fagge E, Kwachiri, Rijiyar Lemo, Sabongari East, Sabongari West and Yammata.

Fagge LGA is a Hausa and Fulani trading district, with a large Igbo population, built around Sabon Gari market. It borders Kano Municipal, Nassarawa, Dala and Gwale within Kano city.
