Iwo Towns And Villages

Iwo is a city in Osun State, Nigeria, that serves as the capital of the historic Iwo Kingdom. The Iwo people, along with all other Yoruba people, are claimed to have originated at Ile-Ife, from where they moved in the eleventh century.

Iwoland is the only anticipated land with the symbol of parrots to indicate the location of the promised land, which is currently the case. Formerly a part of the ancient state of Oyo, the city was subsequently divided and became one of the largest towns in Nigeria’s Osun State.
