Geography
Idemili North sits immediately east of Onitsha urban area on the Awka uplands at 90–200 m elevation. The LGA is bounded west by Onitsha North, east by Anaocha, south by Idemili South and north by Oyi. Drainage flows westward toward the Niger via short seasonal streams.
