Geography
Orumba South sits on the southern Awka–Orlu uplands at 180–320 m elevation, bounded north by Orumba North, west by Aguata, south by Imo State and east by Enugu State. The Mamu river drains the western portion. Soils are red lateritic, with thick forest cover in the Owerre-Ezukala area home to the Ogbunike–Ezukala caves.
