Geography
Anaocha sits on the Awka–Orlu uplands at 200–350 m elevation, bounded north by Njikoka, west by Idemili South, east by Aguata and south by Orumba North. The Agulu Lake — a freshwater body fed by underground springs — lies in the LGA’s western quadrant and supports a famous crocodile sanctuary.
