Yola South Towns And Villages

Yola South is a Local Government Area in Adamawa State, in Nigeria’s north-east. Its headquarters sit at Ngurore, on the Numan road south-west of Yola. The 2006 census counted 196,197 residents, projected to about 302,500 by 2022. The LGA covers roughly 919 square kilometres.

The River Benue divides Yola South from Jimeta and Yola North to the north. The area holds part of Yola, the state capital, along with farming villages spread along the Numan and Fufore roads. Fulfulde and Hausa are the main languages, and the shared postal code is 640101.
