Mayo-Belwa Towns And Villages
Mayo-Belwa is a town and Local Government Area in central Adamawa State, Nigeria. Its headquarters sit in Mayo-Belwa town, beside the seasonal river that gives the area its name. The 2006 census counted 152,803 residents, projected to about 235,600 by 2022.
Fulfulde is the main language, with Hausa common in the markets and along the Yola road. Twelve INEC wards make up the LGA, among them Bajama, Binyeri, Gangfada, Gengle, Gorobi, Nassarawo Jereng, Ndikong, Ribadu, Tola and Yoffo. The land spans roughly 2,368 square kilometres.
