Gombi Towns And Villages
Gombi is a Local Government Area in the north-west of Adamawa State, in north-eastern Nigeria. Its headquarters sit in Gombi town, on the road between Yola and Biu. The area covers about 2,312 square kilometres. The 2006 census counted 147,787 people, projected to 227,900 by 2022.
The council runs ten wards: Boga/Dingai, Duwa, Ga’anda, Gabun, Gombi North, Gombi South, Garkida, Guyaku, Tawa and Yang. Ga’anda, Hona, Fulani and Hausa are the main languages. Postal codes run from 652101 in Ga’anda to 652109 in Garkida, with Gombi town on 652108.
