Numan Towns And Villages

Numan is a town and Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Nigeria. Locals call it Nomweh, meaning “hilltop” in the Bwatiye (Bachama) language. The town sits at the junction of the Benue and Gongola rivers.

The 2006 census counted 141,200 residents, projected to 216,783 by 2022. The council is split into ten wards: Bare, Bolki, Gamadio, Imburu, Kodomti, Numan I, Numan II, Numan III, Sabon Pegi and Vulpi. Numan town carries postal code 642101.
