Mubi North Towns And Villages
Mubi North is a Local Government Area in Adamawa State, in Nigeria’s north-east. Its headquarters sit in Mubi, a busy market town close to the Cameroon border. Adamawa State University and the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, both stand in the town.
The 2006 census counted 151,515 residents. Projections put the figure near 233,600 by 2022. The council divides into 11 wards: Bahuli, Betso, Digil, Kolere, Lokuwa, Mayo Bani, Mijilu, Muchalla, Sabon Layi, Vimtim and Yelwa. Boko Haram briefly seized Mubi in late 2014; the army retook it within weeks and residents returned.
