Hong Towns And Villages
Hong is a Local Government Area in the north-west of Adamawa State, with its headquarters in the town of Hong. It covers about 2,588 square kilometres and is the homeland of the Kilba (Huba) people, who farm guinea corn, groundnuts and maize.
The 2006 census counted 169,183 residents. That figure was projected to reach about 260,900 by 2022. Twelve wards make up the area, among them Bangshika, Gaya, Hildi, Kwarhi, Mayo Lope, Shangui and Uba. Postal codes across the LGA begin 6501, with Hong town listed as 650107.
