Ifo Towns And Villages
Ifo is a Local Government Area in Ogun State, Nigeria, on the fast-growing Lagos border. Its headquarters sits in Ifo town. The 2006 census counted 539,170 residents; the 2022 projection put the figure near 917,000.
Ifo covers 11 wards: Ifo I, Ifo II, Ifo III, Agbado, Iseri, Ajuwon/Akute, Oke-Aro/Ibaragun/Robiyan, Ososun, Sunren, Coker and Ibogun. Fast Lagos-adjacent growth has filled Agbado, Akute and Ojodu/Isheri with estates and housing schemes alongside the older farm towns.

The most striking aspect of these towns and villages, is the undeniable presence of their poor road conditions. Despite the sufferings of the local population, successive governments in Ogun State have alarmingly neglected the development of road infrastructure. This have left residents of these very vast areas in unbearable hardships for years. What a shame.
