Imeko Afon Towns And Villages

Imeko Afon is a Local Government Area in Ogun state, Nigeria, on the border with Benin. Its headquarters is the town of Imeko, at approximately 7°29′00″N 2°53′00″E. The 2006 census counted 82,952 residents; the 2022 projection put the figure near 141,100.

The LGA holds ten wards: Imeko, Oke Agbede/Moriwi/Matale, Idofa, Iwoye/Jabata, Ilara/Alagbe, Afon, Otapele, Kajola/Agberiodo, Olorunda/Gbomo and Idi Ayin. Ogun’s INEC ward code is 13, one border over from Ipokia’s code-14 wards to the south.

The previous list on this page was almost entirely mislabeled: most of its names belonged to neighbouring Ipokia LGA, including Ipokia’s own headquarters town, Idiroko.

The list below was checked name by name against 2015 INEC ward and polling-unit records for Imeko-Afon and Ipokia, the GeoNames gazetteer and the GRID3 Nigeria settlement dataset.
