Abua/Odua Towns And Villages

Abua/Odua is a Local Government Area in Rivers State, Nigeria, also written Abua/Odual. It groups four Abua clans — Otapha, Okpeden, Ogbo Abuan and Emughan — each with several subordinate villages, plus the Odual towns along the Orashi River. The headquarters is Ayama, in Abua Central.

At the 2006 census, Abua/Odua had 282,410 people. The National Population Commission projected about 406,200 residents by 2022.

The postal code for the area is 510102. Owolabi Michael Ofori has served as Executive Chairman since Rivers State’s August 2025 local government election.
