Obi/Oju Towns And Villages
Obi and Oju are two Local Government Areas in Benue State, Nigeria, home to the Igede people. Obi’s headquarters sits at Obarike-Ito; Oju’s at Oju town. The 2006 census counted 98,707 residents in Obi (2022 projection 142,500) and 168,491 in Oju (2022 projection 243,300).
The area organises into three traditional districts: Igede, Uwokwu and Ito. Postal codes run 971106 to 971108 across the three.
