Dala is a densely populated Local Government Area inside the city of Kano, Kano State, Nigeria, founded in May 1989 from the former Kano Municipal Local Government.

It is located in the north-western portion of the city of Kano. Its main office is at Gwammaja.

As of the 2006 census, it has a land area of 19 km2 and a population of 418,777. Consequently, it is the largest Local Government Area in Nigeria.
