Sokoto South Towns And Villages
Sokoto South is a Local Government Area in Sokoto State, Nigeria, covering the southern half of Sokoto metropolis. It shares the state capital with the neighbouring Sokoto North LGA. The 2006 census counted 197,686 residents; the 2022 projection put the figure near 341,200.
Sokoto South has 11 registration wards, grouped in six named areas: Rijiyar Dorowa, Tudun Wada, Sarkin Zamfara, Gagi, Sarkin Adar Kwanni and Sarkin Adar Atiku. Mabera, on the Gagi ward boundary, holds several long-settled quarters including Mabera Mujaya, Mabera Magaji and Mabera Iddi.
