Isa is a town and Local Government Area in Sokoto State, sharing borders with Shinkafi in Zamfara State, Goronyo and Sabon Birni within Sokoto, and the Republic of Niger to the east. Its headquarters sits at Isa town, split into the Isa North and Isa South wards.
As of the 2006 census the LGA had a population of 150,268, projected to 259,400 by 2022, across a land area of 2,158 km2.
