Silame Towns And Villages
Silame is a Local Government Area in Sokoto State, Nigeria, on the Sokoto River roughly 45 kilometres west of Sokoto city. Its headquarters sits in Silame town. The area covers about 790 square kilometres.
The 2006 census counted 104,601 residents. A 2022 projection puts the figure near 180,500. Silame holds ten wards: Gande East, Gande West, Katami North, Katami South, Kubodu North, Kubodu South, Labani, Marafa East, Marafa West and Silame.
