Miga Towns And Villages

Miga is a Local Government Area in Jigawa State, Nigeria, in the Hadejia valley farming belt east of Dutse. Its headquarters is Miga town. The LGA had 127,876 residents at the 2006 census, projected to about 219,900 by 2022.

Miga is split into ten registration wards: Dangyatin, Garbo, Hantsu, Koya, Miga, Sabon Gari Takanebu, Sansani, Tsakuwawa, Yanduna and Zareku. Hausa and Fulani communities farm millet, guinea corn and groundnut across the LGA; Fulani settlements sit alongside the older Hausa villages in every ward.
