Babura is a Local Government Area in the northern portion of Nigeria’s Jigawa State. It shares a boundary with the Katsina local government of Baure to the north, Kazaure to the west, Sule Tankarkar to the east, and the Kano local government of Danbatta to the south.

Its headquarters is located in Babura. Alhaji Muhammad Nata’ala Mustapha (Councillor & King Maker), the current District Head of Babura, who is also the Sarkin Bai of Ringim, Ringim Emirate Council, has been on the throne since April 2019 following the death of his brother Alhaji Hadi Mustapha Musa of the Bani Ya Musa clan.

As of the 2006 census, it had a total area of 992 km2 and a population of 208,101.
