Isiala Mbano is in Owerri’s north-east. Owerri/Okigwe/Anara/Umuahia and Okigwe/Umuahia highways pass through it. It’s bordered by Onuimo LGA and sections of Nwangele LGA in the north, Ehime Mbano LGA in the east, and Ikeduru and Mbaitolu LGAs in the south. It covers 148 km2. Its 2006 census count was 198,736.
