Ikole Local Government is tropical. It’s 45o east of Greenwich and 7o-8o-15o north of the Equator. Kwara, Kogi, Ekiti East, Gboyin, and Oye are its neighbours. Ikole Ekiti is 22.5 km from Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. Local governance is generally 250 metres above sea level.
The Local Government encompasses 374,940km2 and according to the 2006 National Population Census, the total population was 168,436; Male:87,976; Female:80,460.
