Ijero Towns And Villages

Ijero is a Local Government Area in northwestern Ekiti State, Nigeria, with its headquarters at Ijero-Ekiti. The 2006 census counted 221,873 residents; the 2022 projection put the figure near 332,200. Ijero-Ekiti’s postal code is 372109.

The LGA runs Ekamarun, Ijero, Ikoro, Iloro/Ijunrin and Ipoti/Odo-Owa wards, and its people are predominantly Yoruba speakers of the Ekiti dialect. Julius Abayomi Folowosele chairs the local government council.
