Gombe Towns And Villages

Gombe LGA is the state-capital city LGA of Gombe State, seat of the Gombe Emirate under the Lamido of Gombe. The 2006 census recorded a population of 266,844; a 2022 projection put the figure at 446,800. Gombe LGA covers 52 km².

Fulani residents make up more than half the LGA’s population, alongside the Bolewa, Tera, Waja, Lunguda and Hausa peoples. Because Gombe LGA is the built-up state capital rather than a rural area, its “towns and villages” are the city’s eleven wards and the named quarters within them, not separate outlying settlements.
