Enugu East Towns And Villages
Enugu East is one of three local government areas that make up Enugu city, alongside Enugu North and Enugu South. Its headquarters sits at Nkwo Nike. The 2006 census counted 277,119 residents; the 2022 projection put the figure near 397,700.
This is a city LGA, not a rural directory. The list below covers Enugu East’s constituent quarters, layouts and autonomous communities — Abakpa, Emene, Trans Ekulu, Ibagwa Nike and the Nike, Mbuluowehe and Mbuluiyiukwu districts — rather than separate farming villages. Twelve wards divide the LGA: Abakpa I, Abakpa II, Amorji, Ibagwa-Nike/Edem, Mbuluowehe, Mbuluiyiukwu, Mbulu-Njodo West, Mbulu-Njodo East, Trans-Ekulu, Ugwugo Nike, Umuchigbo and Umuenwene.
