Shendam is a Local Government Area in Nigeria’s Plateau State. Its headquarters is located in Shendam.
It is bordered to the south by Ibi Taraba State, to the east by Qua’an Pan, to the north by Pankshin, and to the west by Mikang. Shendam, located at 8°53′00′′N 9°32′00′′E, is the second most populous city in Plateau State, behind Jos.
It has an area of 2,477 km2 and, as of the 2006 census, a population of 208,017.
