Riyom Towns And Villages
Riyom is a Local Government Area in Plateau State, Nigeria, on the road into the state from Abuja and the east. Its headquarters sits at Riyom town, roughly 9°38âēN 8°46âēE. The LGA covers about 807 square kilometres and neighbours Barkin Ladi, Jos South, Bokkos, Mangu and Kanke within Plateau, with Kaduna State across its western boundary.
The 2006 census counted 131,557 people, mostly Berom farmers, with hamlets grouped into ten registration wards: Attakar, Bum, Danto, Jol/Kwi, Ra-Hoss, Rim, Riyom, Sharubutu, Sopp and Ta-Hoss.
