Okigwe Towns And Villages

Okigwe is a local government area in northern Imo state, Nigeria, and the LGA’s headquarters town. It ranks as the third largest city in Imo state, after Owerri and Orlu, and sits near 5°28′59″N, 7°33′00″E, close to the Abia State border.

The 2006 census recorded a population of 132,701 in Okigwe LGA; a 2022 projection put the figure near 184,500. Okigwe borders Onuimo to the west and Isiala Mbano, Ihitte/Uboma and Ehime Mbano within Imo state, with Abia State to the east.
