Bakori is a local government area in Katsina State, Nigeria. It was established on May 15, 1989, by Major General Lawrence Onoja, the military governor of Katsina State at the time.
As of the 2006 census, it had a land area of 679 km2 and a population of 641,576. In addition, it borders Funtua to the west, Malumfashi to the north, Danja to the south, and Kankara to the east. Bakori is the location of the Federal Government Girls’ College.
