Apa Towns And Villages
The Apa local government area was initially established on March 23, 1981. It ceased to exist on 31 December 1983 and was re-established in August 1991.
The location of the local government in Makurdi, the state capital of Benue, is in the northwest.
It is bordered by Agatu local government to the north, Gwer West to the west, Otukpo to the south, and Omala local government area of Kogi State to the west.
It has a population of approximately 100,000 people with a density of approximately 200,300 inhabitants per square kilometre.
The majority of the local government’s residents are Idoma, with a few Igalas and other settlers being present.
