Jos South Towns And Villages
Jos South is a Local Government Area (LGA) in the Nigerian state of Plateau.
It contains the Plateau State’s new Government house, which includes the Office of the Executive Governor and other government house administrative offices and departments, including the Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency in Rayfield, and is, therefore, the de facto state capital of Plateau.
Its headquarters are located in the town of Bukuru at 9°48′00′′N 8°52′00′′E.
As of the 2006 census, it had a land area of 510 km2 and a population of 306,716. After Jos-North, it is the second most populous Local Government Area in the state.
