Wase is a town and Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, Nigeria, located approximately 216 kilometres southeast of Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
It has the same name as the nearby Wase River. As of 2006, the LGA has a population of 159,861 and an urban area of 1,750 km2.
