Ibi is a municipality and administrative district in the Nigerian state of Taraba. The town is situated on the south bank of the Benue River, opposite the entrance of the somewhat smaller Shemankar River. Within the LGA, both the Taraba River and the Donga River drain into Benue.
Ibi is one of Taraba State’s sixteen local government districts, overseen by an elected chairman.
