Kurmi is a Local Government Area in Nigeria’s Taraba State. It is controlled by a Local Government Council comprised of a chairman and elected councillors.
Additionally, the LGA is divided into wards. The organization’s headquarters are located in Ba’Issa.
Kurmi is bordered by the Republic of Cameroon in the south, the Sardauna and Donga Local Government districts in the south-east and north-east, respectively.
It is also bounded to the north by Bali Local Government, to the north-west by Donga Local Government, and to the south-west by Ussa Local Government.
It has an area of 1681 square metres and a population of 91,531 according to the 2006 census.
