Umuahia North splits between the old Ibeku city quarters and the Ohuhu villages west of town. Ibeku holds Amuzukwu, Afara Ukwu, Nkata, Ohokobe Ndume and Ugwunchara. Ohuhu groups its villages into the Afugiri, Nkwoachara, Nkwoegwu and Umule Ekeokwuru areas.
Government offices, banks and the Abia Digital Innovation Village anchor the city core. Farming and trading still support the outlying Ohuhu villages.
