Aba North Towns And Villages

Aba North is a Local Government Area in Abia State, carved out of the old Aba Division in 1991. It covers just 23 square kilometres of Aba’s northern half, with headquarters at Eziama Uratta. The 2006 census counted 106,844 people, projected to 155,600 by 2022.

Postal codes run from 450101 (Ogbor Hill) to 450272 (Umungasi), with Eziama and Uratta using 450102. Igbo is the main language. Executive Chairman Timothy Iheke leads the council as of 2026.
