The Arochukwu Local Government Territory, also known as Arochuku or Aro Oke-Igbo, is the third biggest local government area in Abia State (after Aba and Umuahia) in southeastern Nigeria and the home of the Igbo subgroup Aro people.

It includes Abam, Aro, Ihechiowa, Ututu, and Isu. Arochukwu is a major Igbo town. It was a British colonial goal in the Southern protectorate. City has several historic sites. Tourists visit the Ibini Ukpabi temple, slave routes, and other slave trade remnants. Abia’s food belt produces most basic foods.
The kingdom is Igbo-Ibibio-Akpa. Arochukwu speaks Igbo and Ibibio.
Arochukwu has 10,776 residents. The 2011 population was 193,820, up from 97,800 in 1991.
