Akinyele Towns And Villages
Akinyele is a Local Government Area in Oyo State, Nigeria, on the northern edge of metropolitan Ibadan. Its headquarters is at Moniya, on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway corridor. The area covers about 465 square kilometres and borders Afijio to the north, Lagelu to the east, Ido to the west, and the Ibadan North LGAs to the south.
The 2006 census counted 211,811 residents; a 2022 projection puts the population near 302,700. Akinyele holds twelve wards: Ikereku, Olanla/Oboda/Labode, Arulogun/Eniosa/Aroro, Olode/Amosun/Onidundu, Ojo-Emo/Moniya, Akinyele/Isabiyi/Irepodun, Iwokoto/Talontan/Idi-Oro, Ojoo/Ajibode/Laniba, Ijaye/Ojedeji, Ajibade/Alabata/Elekuru, Olorisa-Oko/Okegbemi/Mele and Iroko.
